Summary
Sources confirmed that grammy winners Xaden Riorson and Violet Sorrengail had broken up and the internet has been in an uproar about it. Neither Xaden nor Violet have spoken out about the rumours - which just added more fuel to the fire. One side of the internet blamed one artist the other the other one. All the hateful comments and videos made one artist rise up the other go back into her shell.
Violet Sorrengail took a break from social media and didn't post and wasn't seen out for months. Her continues absence raised some alarm but after 6 months of radio silence the grammy winner announced her 4th album: The Lightning.

Xaden Riorson has finally proven everyone wrong. In his third and final year at Basgiath, he has risen to the rank of Wingleader, he is bonded to an exceptionally powerful dragon, and he has one of the most feared signets in the quadrant. While he'd love to burn this place down, it's the only chance for survival-for him, and the other marked ones. But then Violet Sorrengail arrives, the youngest child of one of his greatest enemies. He's convinced she's here to ruin him. But Xaden must also fight against his inexplicable attraction to her, one he very much doesn't want but can't seem to escape.
This is a retelling of Fourth Wing from Xaden's POV, following along with each chapter. I've added new scenes with Xaden, Garrick, Bodhi, Imogen, and Liam. This was written PRE-Iron Flame, and all new scenes and internal thoughts of Xaden are my own theories and speculation. There are spoilers for FW throughout, including from the beginning.
Post-IF update: I've decided to NOT edit this work based on what we learn in IF. I think it gives too much away of the plot of IF to do that, and I love the fanfic I imagined. I may update certain scenes in standalone one-offs.

Summary
Xaden Riorson thought he had figured out how to survive in this place. Now in his final year at Basgiath War College, he’s risen to the rank of Wingleader. He is focused on one thing: getting every kid of the rebellion bonded to a dragon. Then the real work can begin.
But he hadn’t counted on Violet Sorrengail, the General’s daughter, entering the Rider’s Quadrant. She’s not supposed to be here and she’s about to throw every plan he has made into chaos. Can he trust her? And more importantly, can he trust himself?
This follows the dialogue and events of Rebecca Yarros’s Fourth Wing, retold from Xaden’s perspective. This was written prior to the release of Iron Flame, so all theories and speculation are my own and unconfirmed. It's my best guess at exploring how Xaden might have felt throughout the story and features new scenes with Liam, Garrick, Imogen, Sgaeyl and Tairn. Major plot spoilers from the very first chapter.
