Summary
Jingyi first sees Sizhui when he’s eleven, the latter twelve. Sizhui had smiled shyly at him from behind Jiang Cheng, and Jingyi had smiled back, raising his hand in a shy wave before Xichen walked out and Jingyi scampered off to follow him. After that he sees him around the office a lot, always dressed perfectly, hair back in a braid or a bun, polite and quiet and asking the right questions under Jiang Cheng’s praise.

The invasion goes a little differently than Sokka would have hoped: namely, he's sitting in a cell with the Prince of the Fire Nation, his hands are chained behind his back, and his shoulder is probably dislocated.
Oh, and it seems the universe hates him, because his dad can't even give him a proper hug. So yeah. He's doing great.

While waiting for Aang to open a portal to the spirit world, Sokka and Zuko wander off together to look for some more kindling. Sokka convinces Zuko that there’s no harm in fooling around while they’re at it.
And Zuko doesn’t need much convincing.
