"h aies i ai ai deses" Buck spat at Eddie. Fury filling his eyes and arms flexing more and more with every 'syllable'.
Eddie sat there, blank eyed, unsure of what to say.
"h aies i ai ai deses" Buck repeated louder—as if the problem was Eddie's hearing and not the massive mouth piece in his mouth.
"I don't know Buck!"
"Oh come on this is easy," Maddie said laughing.
"Yeah Eddie, this is easy," Chimney mocked.
OR: Eddie was thrilled to have Maddie and Chimney over for game night. That was until he realised two things. For one, he categorically sucks at any and every board game. Secondly, he is dating possibly the biggest sore loser in existence.

No more words were exchanged as Buck gathered his keys and shoes and walked out the door. Eddie watched him like a person watched a car crash in slow motion. Inevitable, destructive, no way to stop it.
“Still best friends?” Buck’s voice asked hesitantly, sticking his pinky out with a trembling hand.
Eddie led out a laugh that sounded more like a sob. “Still best friends. I’ve got your back, Buck.”
Or, Buck and Eddie break up. Then get back together.

Ian stands staring at it, hand shading his eyes against the sun.
“Holy fuck,” he manages. “Really?”
He tries not to sound sceptical, but it wouldn’t have been his first guess. Or his second, really. Not even third. Probably way down the list after ‘adventure sports’ and ‘visiting the Mexican resort where he’d worked for the cartel’. But Mickey looks back at him with the most excited grin on his face. He sees through Ian’s hesitance and just grins.
“This place is gonna be amazing, c’mon… you’ll see.”
