“I seem to be restless today.”
“Ah, so that's what's different about the living room today.”

Right now he’s supposed to give a ride to an “Evan Buckley”, but the moment he approached the address he felt like burying himself in sand.

Great, another year that goes by and once again, he has no one to kiss for the countdown. He thinks it’s pathetic, it’s not like he doesn’t have any choices, it's just… he doesn’t know if he’s ready for them, if he can dive in and allow himself to kiss—
The screech of the door opening takes him out of his thoughts. He looks over from his spot on the wall and smiles at the person he sees come out.
“There you are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”
OR, that one time in 2012 where Chimney and Tommy kissed.

Buck bit back what he actually wanted to say. He glanced at the guy beside him – who was looking right back, sympathetic look on his face. ”I'm not alone, actually, mom. I'm here with my boyfriend.” He turned the phone just enough to get the guy in frame. With the angle and the bench seat, it looked like they were sitting at the same table.
”Boyfriend?” came his mom's tinny voice. ”Evan, you never said–”

The music was too loud to have a meaningful conversation, but they tried. Tommy handed him another drink. Buck was too focused on not getting jostled and spilling the overpriced alcohol all over the both of them, so he missed the context, when Tommy said, ”Puppy?”
A bit of a non sequitur, but Buck didn't think anything of it. He had been called a golden retriever before, so he laughed and said, ”I mean, yeah.”
Tommy's whole face crinkled in a smile. ”Yeah, you are.”
