Summary
In memories, people can live on as long as they're remembered. They get the chance to remain in existence within the period of that remembrance. Maybe...if one wished hard enough, those in memories will come to life before their eyes.

This is so... interesting to me. I have not seen many fics like this, between Mephiles the Dark and Sonic the Hedgehog. The relationship and dynamic scratches something in my brain that I didn't know itched in the first place. I rather like it. Thank you.

Summary
METSON-013 is the 14th iteration of the Metal Sonic line, and he's determined to also be the last.
His core objective is to surpass Sonic the Hedgehog. Years of failure, doubt, and uncertainty have led him to draw one conclusion on the subject: if he ever wants to fulfill his objective, he needs to get away from the Doctor.
That conclusion leads him to a second conclusion: his best chance of remaining out of the Doctor's clutches is to disguise himself and live amongst organics until he gets the resources for a better plan than that.
Living a quiet, anonymous life shouldn't be difficult.
(He'll soon find out that it's the hardest thing he's ever done.)

I'd heard of this fanfiction from a friend of mine and was initially skeptical. Oh, how wrong I was. So very terribly wrong.
