But he thought it was better to move all the way out in the desert closer to Garrett for some god-awful reason. When he couldn't take it anymore he finally called Jay and they talked for hours. They got back together, things were finally looking up, the only problem is Jay doesn't want to make movies anymore.

Whitaker couldn’t say why, but having Dr. Robby’s attention on him was exhilarating, specially thrilling when it came with praise after a patient was out of danger. Something inside him lit up, warmth spreading through him, when Dr. Robby smiled at him in that way he seemed to reserve only for his 4th year medical student. No one else, not Javadi, Santos, or even Mel got that kind of smile out of their attending.
It was only for Whitaker, and that made him feel special.
