When I finished ATYD I just felt empty and hollow inside and I think the only thing that kept me sane was the knowledge of still having to read this epilogue. I was reading Crimson Rivers and it got too much for me so I thought it was a good idea to finally read OOTB as a break from CR. HOWEVER. That didn't play out in my favor because at the end of this fic I broke down crying. I think it entirely hit me just NOW that I really finished ATYD and all the emotions came down on me all at once, like when you're bottling up all of your feelings because you don't want to deal with them at the moment and then it just explodes because you can't take it anymore. Yeah like that. I love Grant Chapman with my entire being and no OC in ANY fanfic on this planet will make me feel the way Grant did; I didn't know it was possible being THIS attached to an OC. I'm so so happy that he got his happy ending; this was truly the best way to end this masterpiece. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna watch sad edits until I'm weeping so hard that I can't breathe properly.
