Summary
Ethan x Devi fix it fic. There will be Ben Slander, you have been warned. I also took a ton of creative liberties with Ethan, since he was such a superficial character in the season. I’m sorry, I just need this right now, Ethan was so supportive towards Devi.
A chance encounter leads Devi to bump into her old fling, Ethan, who hadn’t forgotten her since the previous year. After some revealing truths, Devi learns just how much Ethan has grown since they were last together, and how much of it was for her.
Devi pinched her thigh to make sure she wasn’t hallucinating, but this was very much real. Ethan had grown a little taller since she had last seen him, and his hair was shorter, albeit still a mess on his head. But it was most definitely Ethan.
He must’ve seen the question on her face, as he continued to speak to fill the silence. “I’m here cause got a job and an apprenticeship of sorts, I guess.” He shrugged. “It’s pretty funny, I’m getting paid to spray paint stuff now.”
A smile cracked on Devi’s face at that. “Are you? I hope it’s no one’s car.”
