One of the first things a budding adventurer will learn is that goblins are notoriously group-oriented and the thing that makes them dangerous is the sheer numbers they show up in. The goblin population of Elmville is exactly two. Riz Gukgak was not a normal goblin for many reasons, one of which being that he was a very solitary young boy. Things change, friends are made, and Riz starts to think that his ancestors may have had the right idea about this whole strength in numbers thing.

She hated to have to put him through this. Groaning, she caught Jawbone’s arm around her waist and tightened it around her, playing with the claws of his paw. Against her bare back, she could feel the hard pulse of his heart, always in a frenzy in his wolf form, which he always was. It clashed against the calm demeanor he built up around it.
“I know,” she muttered in a sad little whisper.
