    “...What’s this?” Jiang Cheng gestured to the small wooden table in the middle of his nephew’s room. There were four cups placed on each side of the table, along with four corresponding mats to sit on. Three of the four mats were unoccupied. “Why is a paper doll sitting at the table?” 

    Jin Ling huffed as if Jiang Cheng was being the ridiculous one. “That’s Sect Leader Nie of course.” 

    Jiang Cheng was beginning to understand why Jingyi and Sizhui ran away.

    “...Jiùjiu…?” Jin Ling finally cleared enough of his vision to meet large grey eyes. He laughed a little breathlessly, wiping more of his tears away in disbelief. “Jiùjiu!”

    “Did you lose your Jiùjiu?” the child asked. “I’ll help you find him, gē! My name’s Jiang Cheng.”

    or: Two years after the events of the Guānyīn temple, a monumental error on a night hunt renders Jiang Cheng back to being a 8 year old child, which has more consequences than anyone could have expected.
