"Hello?" Elizabeth calls out. "I'm here from the Gotham Times—"
"Hi," someone says behind her.
When she turns, her stomach absolutely drops to the floor. Liz is certain she doesn't hide her shock well, but then neither does Mr. Ricci, who looks as startled as she feels.
His eyes are panicked as she sticks out her hand, and it takes him several seconds to extend his own. It's hard to tell if her palm is just ridiculously sweaty or if both of them are contributing to the collective clamminess of the handshake.
"E-Elizabeth Colvin," she says stupidly, as if he might have forgotten the woman he'd seen necking with his boss just days ago.

Elizabeth encounters Vittorio at the construction site in the midst of her interview about Sky Tower. Sequel to "Once is Happenstance," but could probably be read as a standalone one-shot.
