He's pictured it a million different ways, maybe Dream meets him in the airport and they run into each other's arms while all the busy noise of Orlando International Airport melts away– and all they can hear is I love you radiating through their souls.
It didn’t happen like that, obviously. Instead it was a driveway and sweltering heat, with Sapnap watching on. It was Dream walking out looking like a damn god with the sun glowing behind him, it’s an awkward hug and an unfamiliar smell.

“So, ready to tell me I’m wrong?” Confident, cocky, he’s surprised he’s not been slapped yet.
“You’re right about the relationship statues, the others maybe not so true,” A stupid sly smirk, god does George want to smack it off. “An A, for effort.” Patronising, “As for hook ups, well, normally thats just the first person I see to blow off some steam.” George rolled his eyes, “Luckily for you, you’re the first person I saw.” His voice went lower, dangerously lower, somehow making the room hotter.
Flushed cheeks, soft smirk, “Well that is lucky for me,” he can play the same game too. “Unlucky for you, I’m still on shift. So maybe that vip section is looking good right about now.” The others mouth fell slightly, making George’s smirk grow. He walks away serving someone else. Hot and bothered, exactly how he felt he just hopes the other feels exactly the same.

George scrunches his nose, repressing a scoff. “I told you I’m being serious.”
The next thing George knows, there’s a warm palm flush to his cheek. A gentle slap – an exasperated move between friends, but something more where it lingers. It stings for a moment in reprimand but there’s no pain that resides, only the tips of fingers curling – thumb across his lashes, index below his ear.
George holds his breath.
“What makes you think I’m not?”
George struggles with his perception of love. Dream helps.

Summary
In a world where everyone's eyes are gray until they meet your soulmate, Dream has just about given up completely when his eyes suddenly turn green. Only problem is-- he met a few too many people the day before and there's no way to know who it is.
And it definitely doesn't help that his attractive new neighbor (who he definitely doesn't have a crush on) already has brown eyes.
