“Yes!” Gonta says, perhaps too quickly. He gives a shake of his head and takes another breath, which this time thankfully helps his shoulders ease a little bit more. Kaito raises an eyebrow, and Gonta continues, “Gonta is just… nervous. He knows…”
Well. With the beanie and the jacket, Kaito could almost be an entirely different person, is all. Sure, he isn’t wearing a mask, which means that getting up close would quickly reveal his identity—but that’s only if you get close enough. Gonta has far too much hair to tuck into any hats and he’s far too large to hide beneath a jacket. He lumbers alongside Kaito like a big green arrow pointing at his head. Kaito had been insistent that Gonta come with him, that neither of them step outside the rehab centre without one another—but Gonta can’t help feeling just a little exposed, like this.
Kaito smiles in that same tired way as before, moving his hand to Gonta’s shoulder instead and squeezing.

Gonta and Kaito leave the rehabilitation centre for the first time after the game. Reentering the outside world isn't easy.
