If there’s one thing Sonny Carisi knows, that’s his wife.
And look, that may sound obvious to the wrong audience, but it was also very, very true. A truth like “the sky is blue.” Like “Billie’s favorite color is purple,” or “Romeo loved Juliet,” or “Carisi men talk with their hands.” One of those universal, carved-in-stone truths.
That’s probably why he knows she’s irritated with him. And God, if he’s honest, she’s probably more than irritated. She’s probably mad at him.

Amanda Rollins wasn’t much of a sleeper.
She had never been the kind of person who slipped easily into dreams. Sleep never came as a gentle mercy, never carried her off the moment her head touched the pillow. “Oh, if that’s what—”
“— yeah, having you sleep on the couch doesn’t seem… ideal—”
“— I just didn’t wanna assume—”
“— I mean, you can assume, it’s not like we’re not talking about it—”
“— yeah, but, ya‘know, logistics—”
“— the couch isn’t even that comfortable, so,” Amanda says, to Sonny’s silence, and nods to herself. She drinks the rest of the Pedialyte, like a shot, and sticks her tongue out, for just a moment.

Summary
Sonny can’t sleep; his eyes stare unblinkingly at the ceiling in the midnight gloom of their bedroom. The adrenaline that had kept him upright at the deli despite the fear and the anger and the pounding in his head has long since left him; departing even as he sank into Amanda’s embrace, clinging to her on the sidewalk like the lifeline she always was to him. There’s something else keeping him awake, fizzing beneath his skin, burning in his bloodstream.

This is my first ever publicly-posted fanfic (and my second ever in history).
Rollins is injured during an undercover job and Carisi helps to take care of her injuries one night when he realizes it's time to go for it and take care of her heart too. (How I think a Rollisi sex scene could look if it is survivor-positive). Enjoy!
