Summary
All Reki wants is to make friends in college, but so far he's been out of luck. So when Langa Hasegawa wanders into his campus coffeeshop, an awkward finance major with a big heart and a secret passion for birds, Reki's whole college experience comes to life. He and Langa study together, play frisbee on the lawn together, crash in Reki's dorm bed together, share sweaters and whispered secrets and soft touches, and Reki's so happy with him that he's terrified to let anything ruin their friendship.

Summary
If goodbyes are never easy, why aren't 'I love you' and 'Goodbye' worth the same?
Because for him confessing his feelings and saying goodbye to Langa were equally difficult.
However, he was only able to do one of the two.
(An AU in which Langa has to go to Canada to continue his studies after high school, leaving Reki behind. Two years later Reki is offered a 3-month art course in Canada. They meet again)

She didn't speak that time, instead just staring blankly away from him.
"See? I knew you were mad at me." Reki scoffed, seeing her expression flash between near tears and frustration. "Hurry up and say words that actually mean something. Tell me I'm a dirty, humiliating person who gets in your way. Say that I don't deserve to hold his hand, be the one to comfort him, or be the one comforted by him."
Even when Langa’s girlfriend isn’t around, Reki still has obstacles to face.
