Summary
Dipper groaned, trying to orient himself. Mabel had been helping him investigate a haunted house, the first one he'd found in a while that seemed to have actual ghosts and not just foundation problems or gas leaks, and when they'd gone down into the basement... There'd been a weird rift- he remembered, suddenly, warning Mabel to stay back from it just a little too late, leaping forward to try and pull her back only to trip and accidentally send them both through it.
He sat up, glancing around. The light was dim, but he could see the entire parking lot and a bit of the highway beyond it, as well as the boxy roadside motel that the lot belonged to.
What he couldn't see was Mabel. She wasn't beside him, or anywhere nearby that he could see, and he felt the panic start to catch in his chest. He had to find her. If she wasn't here, wasn't with him-
He had to get to Gravity Falls.When Dipper and Mabel fall into a rift in a haunted house, they end up separated, sent back in time to mere days before Ford falls into the portal. Can they help Stan and Ford resolve their issues? Will they figure out their own feelings in the process? Can they even get home again?

While attempting to reassure Stan of his continued attraction sometime after Weirdmageddon, Ford thinks back to their first time, and the continuity of Stan's insecurities- and of Ford's love for those parts that his brother is most insecure about.
