There were times, too many to be a trick of the light, where Dean caught Sam feeling over his torso in the bathroom mirror. He watched through the small crack of the door as his hands ran over his chest, cupping the flat flesh there with a look of disappointment. He’d watch as Sam pulled at his hair, framing it gently around his face and looking this way and that way to just see himself. Christmas Day, Dean tried his best. He left a tube of mascara and some hairclips he swiped on Sam’s desk in his room.
