“All I wanted was this,” she spits, the anger she’d set aside slowly coming back to the surface like a disease with no remedy. Around her, the Hydro Dragon trembles. “Not a vision, not whatever kind of consolation prize you think this fragile, weak human should be granted—I just wanted—”
“I have been unable to cope with your sudden absence,” he says all in one breath, just before she can finish the sentence. “Forgive me, Furina.”
