There is a hurried knock on his door followed by another yell from who can only be Mohji. “Captain Buggy!”
“I’m awake, give me a moment Mohji!” The knocking stops, and he can only assume the animal tamer had heard him. He runs a hand through his messed-up hair and scowls down at his own arousal. This was the third time this week he had a dream like that about the red-headed idiot. An embarrassed flush covers his cheeks.
Since he saw Shanks at Marineford he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about the other man. Like some bad joke, those thoughts kept escalating until they became what they are now, one dirty dream after the other. He thought he had left those feelings behind when Shanks left him to chase glory and Rogers Ghost, he thought he had gotten over that stupid boy crush he had harbored for his fellow cabin boy. Though if he were honest with himself those feelings never went away. Instead of accepting them, he turned them into hate, rage, and to jealousy. Every time Shanks’ face would come up in the newspaper he would crumble it into a small ball with an angry scowl. Hating how his stomach would twist into knots and feel relieved to see the other man alive and well.
