Its been years since school, when Sirius, Peter, James, and he were all students at Hailsham together. Now Remus is left trying to grapple with the memories of the past, and the reality of his present while staying loyal to the boy he once was, and the boys he once knew. After a forgotten trip itinerary makes its way back into his life, he finds himself pressured into going on a voyage across the U.K., and across his memories to reflect on the past, and maybe be able to leave it behind once and for all.This fic is based on the universe of Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let me Go, though having read the book is absolutely not required to understand and enjoy it just as much. :P

Summary
Not to be dramatic, but Marlene would rather die than be a part of the society her mom surrounds herself with. Her mom, however, keeps trying to convince her to participate in the next season's debutante ball. Her most recent attempt to show her the pros of being a debutante includes recruiting the country club's golden girl, Mary Macdonald, to be her new (pretend) best friend in hopes that she'll finally agree to it.
But when Marlene finds out that there's more to Mary than meets the eye, and the two become closer than her mother accounted for, will they be able to break away from their expectations? Or will their opposite roles only push them apart?

It was the summer of 1976.
After Lyall Lupin was told that his son was not welcome back at his private school next year - due to having gotten into multiple fights during the summer term - he decided to punish Remus by sending him to an 8 week summer camp. In the middle of nowhere.
16 year old Remus, who has just recently came to terms with the truth of his sexuality, could think of nothing worse than spending his whole 8 week summer break in a summer camp in the middle of nowhere, England, and sharing a cabin with three other boys.
