Summary
Dennis always figured he would die in Nebraska; the place he loathed, and missed, and begrudgingly loved. Would he still go to heaven if he was buried in Pittsburgh?
OR: In which Dennis never finds the abandoned wing of the hospital, so Trinity never finds out he is homeless, Abbot is a part of the street team, and Robby is constantly worried.

Summary
“We have an incoming suspected head trauma and mild hypothermia victim. Unconscious but stable. ETA 5 minutes. Possibly one of our staff.”
“One of ours? Did they say who?” Robby asked.
“They found Whitaker’s badge on the patient.”
-
Or: Nobody finds out Dennis' secret after Pittfest. Until the consequences of that brings him in as a patient.

Summary
Dennis didn’t run away because of the abuse. Unfortunately, he didn’t know it was abuse. He just knew his brother was rougher with him than their father was, and his brother was supposed to be in charge this summer. It’s why his dad sent him off, because he was busy right now.
Robby just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and became the one that taught Dennis none of that was okay.

Summary
When Dennis leans over a man brought in for drunkenness, shaking his shoulder and, when that gets no response, moving to a sternal rub, he is completely blindsided by the elbow which connects with his brow bone, knocking him to the floor in an undignified heap and causing him to glance his head off the arm of a plastic chair on the way down. And Jack, God help him, is still in the corridor struggling with a pair of gloves.
--
Dennis gets punched by a patient. Jack helps out as best he can in the aftermath.
