Summary
Leon is hoisted high into the air, pinned against the wall as those fingers squeeze inexorably, sealing off his air.
Suddenly his body decides it is not so stunned after all. Wiggling in the monster's grasp, he tries to pry its fingers from his throat with both hands. He might as well be trying to bend iron bars; all he manages to do is scrape his own neck bloody.
He hooks one leg over the monster's arm, using it for leverage so he can bring his other foot right into its nose. It’s like kicking granite. Stomping only seems to piss the monster off, and when he grinds the sole of his boot into its leathery skin it grabs his foot and holds it away.
Leon can feel himself weakening. His head feels like an over-inflated balloon; distant and swollen with trapped blood. Gray patches crowd the corners of his eyes, unfurling into complete blackness as his consciousness fades.
So this is how it ends…

Summary
Zeno had gone still like a deer caught in a pair of headlights. Dried blood crusted the corners of his mouth. Crimson stains spread in messy swathes around the curve of his throat. His mouth crooked open as if to speak yet still no sound came. Leon took a step closer. His hand rested firmly on Requiem where it was nestled in the holster tucked against his ribcage. Two rounds remained after he dealt the death blow to Gideon. He estimated it wouldn't take more than one shot to put Zeno out of his misery. His thumb stroked the wing pattern of the grip thoughtfully. The other man flinched away from the agent. He squeezed his eyes shut as if he were expecting the blast of the gun to be his last taste of the living world. Shoulders hunched, Zeno tucked himself further under his lean-to of rubble as if he were afraid.
Of Leon of all people.

Summary
It starts out innocently enough, a suggestion by Dempsey to spark cooperation between agencies—a pen pal system. Grace Ashcroft is assigned to Leon S. Kennedy, DSO Agent, as the DSO has reluctantly agreed to inter-communication in order to see their needs done.
And yet, Grace finds herself taking comfort in writing to Leon, and Leon finds moments of joy in reading Grace's letters—until they've stopped after she mentioned she was going into the field for the first time, and just missing meeting each other in person at the FBI headquarters.
Until Leon learns of Raccoon City Syndrome, and Wrenwood Hotel. And finds his young pen pal is the one being taken by Victor Gideon.
Or: The one where Author hits speedrun on the found family between Leon Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft, and what if they knew each other before RE9?
