Jisung stares.
“You want me to what?” he repeats, horrified beyond measure. He hopes to god what he heard was just a figment of his creative imagination—a hallucination resulting from running on twenty three minutes of sleep and pink Monster Energy drinks. Or maybe Hyunjin might have fallen over and cracked his skull on a pavement somewhere on his way to ambush Jisung in the library.
No such luck. Hyunjin’s lips press together into a tense line, but his eyes harden with a certain amount of determination Jisung’s instantly wary of.
“Have the gigantic headphones you use to blast music finally burst your eardrums?” He tilts his head back and throws Jisung a challenging look. “I said date me.”
(Or: In an effort to get their friends off their backs about finding their one true love because all the fuckers have suddenly decided to pair up with each other, Hyunjin and Jisung strike up a deal.)
