Summary
Tim hates this—not knowing what’s wrong with him, feeling like he isn’t fully in control, like he’s a liability. It’s a relief to get back in the Batmobile at the end of the night, even with Bruce watching him like he’s trying to visually dissect the problem. At least if it turns out he’s been exposed to some new drug or toxin somehow, Batman is already on the case.

Other people close enough to talk to meant danger, a kind of danger his body, high-strung and restless from living on the road, couldn’t bear. Unbidden, he heard himself growling all the time now: the low, discontent rumble of hunger or discomfort, the hackles-raised rising warning of leave me alone, fuck off, and the all-out teeth-bared snarl of don’t touch me, get off, let me go!
Felix is a feral pup, used to living wild. But when he's caught stealing and given away to a strange pack, he has to try and learn to accept comfort, to trust that not all alphas are a threat.
