Bookmarker's Notes
The rolls of film are sitting on the desk. In the next instant, two neat stacks of finished photographs have taken their place.
He picks up one stack and begins leafing through the pictures.

Bookmarker's Notes
"Whenever I have nightmares, I picture something that can stop the monster. If I dream of a minotaur, I think of Theseus, if I dream of a vampire I think of Van Helsing, if I dream of Moriarty I make sure to think of Sherlock Holmes. Do you understand? If you’re dreaming of a dragon, you have to think of a dragon slayer. And if you need a dragon slayer, then I’m here.”

“Stop,” he says, turning his body until he’s looking at her more fully. “This — this scandal has nothing to do with you, it’s not your fault.”
“Is that what we are? A scandal?”
“A tragedy. But not one you caused.”

Summary
Crowley attempts to sleep off recent events. It's a form of self-defense.
Aziraphale putters, and thinks, and finally acts.
Part 1 takes place between the bus ride home from the apocalypse and ice cream in the park.
Humans will go about and muck things up and perform minor miracles of their own, and that is still joyous, wonderful. Because Aziraphale loves humanity—more than he was meant to. It's not generalized enough, a kindly and paternal distance from them. It's up close and messy: he's coveted their food, glutted himself on their words, succumbed to the sloth of a long afternoon with their wine.
And still, it is not nearly as close and messy as the way he loves Crowley.

Bookmarker's Notes
Their long acquaintance has relied very heavily on Aziraphale hinting powerfully at things that he'd like to do, and trusting Crowley to take the final step of indulging him. And Crowley finds himself doing exactly this, like he always has, before he knows what's happened.

Summary
Crowley's favorite of Shakespeare's works is Much Ado About Nothing, and they've seen it together at least a dozen times.
It's a wonder, then, that it takes them over four hundred years to realize that they have vastly different interpretations of the text.
OR: Five times Crowley and Aziraphale see Much Ado About Nothing.

Bookmarker's Notes
Aziraphale has the sudden sense that they aren’t talking about the play anymore. “Crowley…”
Recognizing the danger, the demon springs up from the sofa and starts for the door. “No, no, no. We are not having this conversation.”
