Summary
The “golden era” of the Philippines has finally come to its end after 20 years of rigorous regime by the former dictator. The EDSA People Power Revolution was a success, and the devil of a dictator dug its own grave of shame in the islands of Hawaii—leaving a beacon of hope for millions of Filipinos now that the monster has been defeated. It is now finished.
A new constitution has been created. There is something to look forward to: a better Philippine government, and a safer place for people like Jay and Jake whose golden era is just about to start. But the thing about the golden era, it is not always about the glitz and the glamour—the divine and everlasting beauty. In fact, it always ends with destruction—bloodshed even with fear oozing out of its skin and bones.
And that is something that Jay and Jake refuse to believe in their love under the golden skies.
