It hurts- it hurts- please-”Tony’s mouth opens and closes. Of all the things he was expecting from Peter, it’s clear this wasn’t even on his list. But right now, that breakdown can wait. Because Peter was in fucking pain, and he was going to make it stop.

Peter’s eyes were trained on the crack in the entryway, watching as the light from the hallway flooded into his somber home.
A warm glow poured out from the opening, golden and dripping until it touched everything in its line of sight. Peter’s figure carved a long shadow in the gleam, an unwavering spot of darkness.
One that was matched only by the person Peter stared at.
The brightness from the corridor seemed to form a halo around them, showering them in a radiance only comparable to an angel.
A gorgeous, shimmering, dead angel.

“W-what’s happening?” whispered Peter. He wiggled around on his bed, trying to shrug the hand off his shoulder. “Get off me!”
“Calm down, son,” said the other man. “We’re going to get you out of here.”
“Captain America? Get me out of here?” asked Peter, squinting his eyes and tilting his head. Iron Man hoisted him out of bed, and the covers went with him, hitting the floor by Peter’s feet. “Oh cool, I’m being kidnapped.”
“Not exactly the term I would use.”

The Avengers rescue Peter from a Hydra base ran by his father, Richard Parker, except Peter doesn't really see it as a rescue, and has trouble settling into a new life away from Hydra and his father at the Avengers compound.
OR
Peter learns how to be an actual teenager, live life, and put his abusive past behind him, and Tony learns how to be a father.
