“Why did you agree to all this, then?” Tobirama asks bluntly, when Madara finally calls for a break in the talks.
“I could ask the same of you,” Izuna retorts. “Now we are stuck in this…mess.” Her fingers curl around her steaming cup of tea. She raises it in a mocking toast, her voice low and smooth, edged with sarcasm. “For better and for worse, in sickness and in health, before the gods, husband-to-be.” At his impassive stare, her expression morphs into one of annoyance. “What a husband I am to have. Nothing but unfeeling ice in his veins, underneath a thin veneer of clever remarks.”
He does not take the bait, although the urge is strong. Not when it would now reflect badly on Hashirama and his clan as a whole.
Or: Izuna does not die when the Hiraishin hits its target, and their clans’ elders demand a political marriage in exchange for their brothers’ dreams.

Summary
A dog is more loyal towards his master than a father is to his son or one brother is to another. He guards his master and protects his house, whether the master is present or absent, sleeping or awake. The dog does not shrink from his task, even if he is treated harshly. He does not let people down, even if they let him down.
Kakashi doesn't know what he did, but he's become the person of interest in an investigation. He tries to navigate the questions posed to him to both prove his loyalty to Konoha, and to protect his subordinates.
Even he doesn't realize the secret he's unwittingly guarding.

A kaleidoscope of colors fills the modern island capital of Taipeh—no, Taihoku City (臺北市), Taiwan. Pinks, yellows, blues, greens, reds, oranges, and white. Winding around the metropolis, Sin-tiàm-khe (新店溪) flows into the the Tām-chúi-hô (淡水河) flows into the sea.
In front of the Taihoku Railway Station (臺北驛), the Grand Arch proudly welcomes you to the vibrant city. The two geometric archways stand like local door gods, one on the left and one on the right, their tiered crowns topped with Japanese flags. On the plaques, in large font:
