Plus it wouldn't be too bad if someone asked her to prom. Summary
The weeks after Eddie's death are especially hard, and waiting for any word on Max's condition makes it all the harder. Dustin is taking things especially poorly when he finds a note in one of his textbooks in his bedroom that hadn't been there when he'd left the house. He starts receiving more and more of these mysterious clues to Caches of strange prizes.
Steve insists he has nothing to do with these notes, but Dustin has his doubts.
Together they work through their grief over Eddie and Max. What they don't know is Eddie is alive, and has been checking on them from afar, leaving notes and games for Dustin to try and make up for the guilt he's left them with. Hopper is hiding him away until they find some way to clear his name. Until then he has to settle for doing his best to help his friends heal from afar.
