“Open it,” Shinsou handed over the box and stepped back, his gaze flicking to Bakugou’s face. He wasn’t sure what to expect—gratitude, aggression, or something in between—but he braced himself for the inevitable reaction.
Bakugou stared at him a moment longer, then cracked the lid. His frown dropped, lips parting slightly.
Surprise. Confusion. Suspicion.
“Who told you?” Bakugou demanded, voice cutting like a blade.
“I have eyes.”
Bakugou’s hands, usually so steady, trembled slightly as he lifted the hearing aids from the box. His fist closed around them, tension radiating off him in waves. For a moment, Shinsou thought he might crush them.
