“Then why can’t you look at me when you say it?”
“Because I don’t want to.”
“But I want you to,” Shouto insisted. “Look me in the eyes and tell me that you love her, that you intend to see this courtship through until the end. Tell me that you want to devote your life to her and no one else.”
Jaw clenched, Izuku forced himself to look up and meet Shouto’s gaze, and with a burning tongue, said, “I love her, Shouto. I intend to propose and marry her and spend the rest of my life with her.”

“Do you… have a plan to make this happen?” Shouto asks.
“No,” Katsuki says. “He doesn’t like me like that, I accepted that a long fuckin’ time ago, that’s why it’s called a fantasy, you dumbfuck.”
“Right,” Shouto says, expression more deadpan than ever as he goes to his text conversation with Touya.
