“You sure you’re alright?” Nick asked, his hand squeezing Charlie’s in reassurance as they walked down the street. Jade and Chloe had gone ahead of them, they’d pregamed before the bar, joyous and laughing, while Nick and Charlie took a sober leisurely pace.
Shivering a bit, Charlie nodded. “Yeah, it’ll be fun, my first proper gay bar experience.”
“You look cold already,” Nick commented, which was true. It was a chilly evening, both of them had foregone their coats and jumpers to avoid having to carry them around the usually overheated club. Because of that Charlie was in a short sleeve shirt, the bottom of which had been trimmed to sit right at his belly button. His personal style had slowly started to develop, he still loved his (or better yet, Nick’s) cozy jumpers but when going out like this, he was starting to wear a bit more loose and provocative clothing.

On this particular day, the day where it had all ended because of sweet, beautiful, kind Nick, they’d been at the club for hours. Charlie had been in the same stress position while Ben fucked him mercilessly for god only knows how long. Charlie was thirsty and hungry, and so very tired. He just wanted to curl up on the floor and rest, but Ben wouldn’t let him. And the more Charlie cried and begged, the more Ben got off. He was close to collapse now, spotting black dots at the edges of his vision as he slurred out for Ben to please stop, when that voice as sweet as honey interrupted Ben’s answer.
“You two’ve been playing an awful long time, and your sub looks like he might collapse without a break.”
Charlie gave a hopeful look at the newcomer, and immediately found himself wanting to sink at his feet and be petted and cared for by him. He let out a needy whine, his entire body eager for protection and respite.
OR
In an AU where everyone is born a Dom, Switch, or Sub, Charlie’s Dom, Ben, treats him terribly, and club owner Nick decides to put a stop to it. Though, not without both he and Charlie ending up in the hospital of course.

Charlie feels his eyes linger on the slightly chipped edge on the rim of Nick's mug. His thumb strokes along the divot. When did it-
"H-woah" Charlie hears his boyfriend's voice behind his ear and flinches violently against the counter.
His head stays down and tucked in as his gaze remains stuck on the divot. He feels himself silently choke around the words, "I'm sorry."
