Summary
His phone, already on the screen with their chat, gives a small vibrate, and a video pops up the way any other would. But this time, it’s a little weirder; a clip of a couple from an anime reuniting and being sweet with each other, even giving each other a brief kiss, with the in-video caption, “me when i see bro again after a long time apart.”
He’s gotten a handful of the same or similar ones as the first time over the past couple of weeks. Until now, apparently. This is obviously an eyebrow-raising step up, but not enough to take super seriously too much, so Akira just lets his heart give that anxious squeeze and brushes it aside, before giving the message a like.
(It's hard enough that Akira's had a thing for his definitely uninterested best friend since high school; harder now that he's sending him these terrible gay joke posts that are all the rage these days online. How long can he take this before he does something rash..?)

Summary
Something sparked in Ryuji like a small flame where he lay, trickling quickly down to his gut. As the panels went on there were more–- hands atop clothes, wanting eyes at one another, kissing, too, a lot of kissing–- this was getting way… further than he expected, but the (in a way, literally) growing interest that heat up slowly in the core of his abdomen nudged him just enough to keep going, little by little.
There was no expectation to brace himself when he turned the next page and yeah okay. That was a penis.
(Ryuji gets his hands on some fan works of his beloved series, and the less wholesome ones give him a little more inspiration for his budding relationship. Smutty sequel to "it's just for research!")

It’s weird. He’d almost forgotten, how it was like a second home to him. How he came so close to staying behind, once, a second home, yeah, second only to the people he called his family. Everything he loves the most, it was all there together once. He thinks, if he wants to be somewhere for the rest of time, this is it.
And just like before, they’re the ones being left behind. Broken record, on repeat, same old tunes even as time went on, scratched and scuffed until they were beyond repair.
It really was just like it.

Not that he didn’t find girls super hot, he just didn’t really know what the hell his entire problem had been for the past several months to keep pushing the idea that hitting it off with a stranger was what would really fulfill him when his heart actually skipped to the goddamn moon when Akira so much as glanced at him with those stupidly intent eyes of his. Eyes that seemed to see him for who he really was, more than anyone else in his life ever had.
And that was the problem.
“Hey, ‘Yuji! Before I forget!” A voice, warm and casual, called to him from the same place as the click-clack of the kettle being prepared. Ryuji’s mom set the tea down, and rounded the counter to see him off. He paused, in slight annoyance, to listen. “Miko’s wedding is this Saturday. Remember her? Well, for some reason, she remembered us enough to send us invites.”
(Ryuji goes to a wedding, and more than one surprise waits for him there.)

“I’m down,” said Akira in complete deadpan, rising from his seat on the floor.
(Akira's moved back to Tokyo at last, and joins the group for a graduation party. Ryuji missed him. Maybe a little too much.)

Summary
Instead of canceling their double date like he should have, Ren decides to power through an oncoming cold to avoid disappointing anyone. But (un)luckily for him, his boyfriend is pretty good at reading him. Ryuji's more than happy to take care of his partner, it's just a shame that he's just as bad at self care as Ren is. It totally won't come back to bite him in the butt, though. And Morgana is here and he really, really wishes he had hands.
