Eddie stares at him. This is the outcome he’s been hoping for since the day his mother reluctantly confirmed that her RSVP for one wasn’t a mistake, but now that it’s happening, Eddie doesn’t know what to feel. Relief? Joy? Anger?
Shock overshadows everything else, leaving him mostly numb. “You’ve had months to decide,” Eddie says incredulously. “Why now? What changed your mind?”
Ramon reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone. “Buck,” he says simply.

Summary
Occasionally, people’s names wouldn’t match up. It wasn’t common, and the only cases Buck had ever personally heard of had involved literal criminals, but it did happen. The other option– well. Either Buck was secretly a killer without knowing about it, or Eddie had taken one look at him and decided he wanted nothing to do with him.
In some ways, Buck couldn’t even blame him.

He gets the appeal. A pharmacy, an optometrist, mobile phone services, garage, meats, frozen produce, furniture– anything, really.
Sure, this one is a bit… destroyed, decrepit. But if you know where to look, or if you’re a good climber, there are still good products around, even after all these years.You can maybe even find a boyfriend.

“Um.” Buck is able to break out of his shocked haze enough to see the multiple pairs of eyes staring at him. “Apparently, I did not.”
Or, everyone carries their soulmate's name on their chest, and Buck finally learns Eddie's full name.
