“Ugh, forget the dress,” Francesca said, finally breaking their kiss, much to Michaela’s disappointment.
“We can retire to the bedroom if you’d like,” Michaela suggested, thinking it was the most sensible option.
“No. I need you now.”

Summary
It wasn’t that Maze didn’t often show affection. In fact, it was the opposite. She’d show affection in all the little ways she knew how – a glance here, a softened remark there, doing something nice when she thought no one was looking.
But now, Maze buries her face into her shoulder, her breath skittering across Eve’s neck as she relaxes into her hold. Eve places her hands over hers, where they wrap around and cross over her stomach, fingers trailing a gentle pattern along them.
“Maze?” she asks softly, not moving from the demon’s grip. “What’s wrong, honey?”
It’s a few, long moments before she gets a response, broken only the rapid heartbeats against her back. “Nothing,” she finally mumbles gruffly, the word muffled by the way she hides in the back of her shirt.
