Summary
Kaveh wasn’t used to this. He was used to the praises, the admiration, or even the sometimes disdainful looks from others. He wasn’t used to eyes that saw right through him. Eyes that pierced his heart and straight into his soul.
Vulnerability is normal for most people but for Kaveh, it’s a weakness. A person shouldn’t be able to know him just from a glance–to read his current emotion only from a miniscule twitch in his face. That’s only absurd.
However, Alhaitham somehow is able to know.

Summary
Kaveh says, “Al-Haitham, what would you do if somebody told you they were in love with you?”
Carefully, Al-Haitham sets the paperback down onto the table. Hardly read, its stiff spine folds back into itself, his place lost within the pages just before the climax, the meat of the story just beneath his fingers but now mislaid by the narrative.
Al-Haitham is tempted to ask, Why? Are you in love with me?
Al-Haitham, a sculptor, is in love with Kaveh. Kaveh, who's craft is oil painting, was in love with Al-Haitham once. Not anymore.

Summary
When Alhaitham gets to the hospital, Cyno is throwing up.
Somehow, that’s the thing that makes everything inside him come to a screeching halt.
He had hoped, some desperate and hopeful part of him, that maybe it would be okay. Maybe he would be fine, and they could go home and leave it all in the past. He was just getting checked up at the hospital. He was fine.
The sight of Cyno, hunched over, retching horribly as he cried, finally crushes the hope left in Alhaitham’s chest.At the end of the day, Alhaitham has always been at Kaveh's side, to weather each storm.
