Summary
Adriana doesn’t tell their parents that she’s going to LA. She doesn’t tell Eddie, either—or ask, for that matter.
She does ask Chris, and he thinks it’s a good idea—says as much, on the phone, and doesn’t say much else.
“Buck will probably be hovering,” is what Chris does volunteer.
It still surprises her when the man who opens the door is not Eddie. It’s—Captain America, is the thing that actually comes to mind—a man close to a foot taller than she is, if not more than that, with blond curls and broad shoulders, and he’s got a question in his very blue eyes that’s probably less friendly than the one he actually asks her.
“Uh,” he says. “Can I help you?”

Or: Adriana arrives in LA. Maddie has been here the whole time.

Summary
Buck and Eddie knew each other in the army, because Buck was Eddie’s CO. They meet each other again in the 118 where Buck pretends he never was in the army, while behind the backs of the team, the two bond about it. The truth comes out when Eddie gets in his own head and the best way to pull him out is for Buck to pull out his commanding voice.

Summary
“Some part of Kim also wanted to be found — rescued even.
He pushed that part aside — the one that still reminisced of being picked up in Khun’s arms after scrapping a knee or being guided by Kinn’s trusting hand as he rode a bike.”Kim and Macau are kidnapped together, which prompts an awkward family reunion for Kim and Kinn, but also allows Kim to heal parts of himself he didn’t even realize were hurting.
Inspired by prompt 2 from “Ten ways to say I love you": Through laughter, over a chorus of voices, knowing it’ll strike home anyway. It’s meant for everyone here, after all.
