Summary
Suddenly, the circling cephalopods form a gap in their formation. Crewmates back away in fear, scurrying to hide behind pillars or fleeing to their quarters to hide from this fearful creature. The sky darkens and Aventurine walks along the plank to get a closer look of his client. There, a dark violet form emerges.
“Damned gambler,” A deep voice rumbles from below. The surrounding creatures look tiny in comparison to their leader, who glares at Aventurine with piercing red eyes.
“Ratio,” Aventurine smiles back at him. “How pleasant it is to see you again. Have you enjoyed your time without me?” He closely eyes Ratio’s form. The fearsome creature bears a large form, nearly twice as wide as Aventurine’s frame. Truly, a terrifying beast that sends a shiver down the captain’s spine.
