When the only way for Catra and Adora (ex-collegiate-situationships now turned colleagues-with-benefits) to both keep their dream jobs is to marry each other, heading home to meet Adora's family for the weekend turns their easy arrangement into something infinitely more complicated, and their very real feelings for each other threaten to unravel their very fake engagement.

Summary
"I saw the witch last night,” Adora announces. “When I fell out of the car, I heard something. Like this…buzzing. A static. And then I saw a face, a woman’s face, screaming. She was so angry. And then things started flashing, like visions, and I saw a book and a tree and then her again."
Entrapta giggles madly, spinning her binder towards them. "I knew it! The witch is real!”
Before them is a crude depiction of a woman cutting off her hand, surrounded by rocks and a large tree with a noose hanging from it. Blood and fire pool around her feet, and it almost looks like she has devil horns.
“C’yra Fier was hanged for witchcraft in 1666 — that’s a fact. You can look it up in any of the town’s historical ledgers. Ever since then, she’s been possessing innocent people and turning them into slaves to get revenge on the town that killed her.”
-
After a catastrophic breakup and Adora moving away, her and Catra are no longer on speaking terms. But when a sudden accident leads Adora to have a sinister vision, they become entangled in an ancient witch’s curse. A curse that refuses to release its grip on them…until their hearts stop beating.

Summary
You still don’t get it, huh, sis? I’m always with you, even when we’re worlds apart.
She’d never been so right about something—she’s always been with her, on the burning bridge and in the safety of Vander’s basement, in the burning blaze of the factory and in the shadows of her solitary jail cell. Her sister’s been with her every second of every day, in the back of her mind and the pit of her stomach, eating away at every piece of her jagged heart.
An air-shattering scream rips Vi from her memory; her body reacts before her mind has even processed that it’s Caitlyn’s voice. Her feet thunder into the floor and the door is nothing but splinters in her hand as she barrels through it, flying down the stairs and in the direction of Cait’s study and her scream.
“Sheesh, lady,” an unmistakeable dry cadence catches Vi’s ears and tangles her feet up underneath her. “You trying to wake the dead?”
Vi crashes into the room in time to see Jinx’s face twist with a smirk, her lips pursing to blow her colorful bangs out of her face.
“Let ‘em rest, already.”

Summary
As Cassandra sat in the smoldering ashes, she kind of hated herself for it. No, she definitely hated herself for it. She’d never hated herself for anything more, not even when she’d missed the pass in rugby and changed her life forever as she shattered her wrist in the fall. That had brought pain that was constant and unrelenting, a forever-looping soundtrack of radio static in her life that sometimes grew louder and sometimes quieter but never disappeared. Pain that sat in the background, casting a shadow on everything else in her life but never completely taking over.
This pain, this mortifying heartbreak she had brought on herself, took over. This was sharp and gutting and burning. It was ravaging, consuming; it burned in her bones. And it would be so much worse when she had to confront Rapunzel again.
-
Cassandra’s entire life at college is pain—throbbing pain in her wrist and an inconvenient, heartbreaking crush on her roommate, Rapunzel. When Rapunzel makes a move that Cassandra isn’t ready to accept, it causes a rift between them so violent that it will take facing several hard truths to repair it.
