"I want to buy flowers, but it's my first time, yes," the customer stated in a steadier voice, eyes never leaving Mydei's.
Mydei hummed and turned to the selection before them even though he knew every bouquet by heart, having made some of them just this morning to replace those that had already withered. He hunched over a white roses one to smooth the wrapping paper, "So, what does your lover like?"
"I don't know, what do you like?"
Or, one day, Phainon enters Mydei's shop to buy flowers. And then, he keeps on coming back.

Summary
Bedroom’s door ajar, Phainon could make out the faint sounds of butter sizzling and pans clanking and he inhaled deeply, mouth already salivating at the smell, a fond smile growing on his face. He dragged himself out of bed, still feeling a bit dozy, and made his way to the kitchen.
There, he was greeted by Mydei’s back, exposed, unguarded — vulnerable.
Or, in the Eternal Page, Phainon and Mydei share a home together, can finally love freely, and, most importantly, they find peace in each other’s embrace.

“You’re right, this is stupid,” Phainon agreed. “What’s stupid is not you, but that wild imagination of yours. Don’t ever think like that again.”
He cupped his face tenderly with both hands, and Mydei’s pupils expanded as the alpha brushed their noses together, his eyes fixated on the plush and inviting lips of his fiancé. “If you ever think like that again, I’ll have to show you how much I desire you.”
“Then show me,” Mydei breathed against his mouth.
Or, Mydei feels insecure, worn down by the emotional turmoil his body has been put under. Phainon is there to remind him how much he is loved and desired.

“Do you understand the weight of your words?” Phainon asked him, his voice low and shaky.
Mydei stared back at him, thumb stroking unruly, slightly wet from tears, hair strands away from Phainon’s temple. Depending on his answer, there would be no turning back.
He had been deprived of affection and had fled it, taking refuge in violence. Now, he found out that he loved the thrill of being in Phainon’s arms as much as he loved the thrill of battle. Maybe, he would even learn to love it more.
Mydei almost dies again. As Hyacine is out of Okhema to assist at the Grove, a worried Phainon is left to tend to Mydei's wounds. A rare moment of intimacy, tenderness, and vulnerability between the two warriors during the flame-chase journey.

You weren’t in bed with me, there wasn’t a wedding band on my finger, and”—his eyes flicker to Mydei’s chest, a fiery blush blooming on his face—“you’re half-naked.”
“We sleep together?” Mydei asks, surprised.
Phainon deadpans.
“We’re married.”
(Phainon finds himself in a modern Amphoreus where he and Mydei have been married for years. Mydei finds himself with a Phainon that claims the two of them are married.)

“I’m going to rip his head off,” Mydei mutters under his breath. Wait. “What? I don’t miss him. Why would I miss him? We’re all Chrysos Heirs and I’m—we’re not even best friends. I’m sure it was something important, if he had to leave without telling me.”
He sees a flicker of pity in Trianne’s eyes. He groans. And fuck Phainon, wherever he is.
Or, Phainon disappears. Everyone thinks he misses him, for some reason.

“You're awful,” Phainon whispered, breath hitching when Mydei rocked his hips back against him.
“You're oblivious,” Mydei pointed out with a shrug, “But here I am, presenting myself to you, and you'd rather delay for a conversation.” He wet his lips, humming quietly, “Is this not enough recompense for my perceived slight?”
“You're insufferable,” Phainon bit back in turn, shaking his head in disbelief.
“Go on, then,” Mydei goaded, huffing, “Show me why I should regret it.”
Phainon has been agonizing over his tumultuous relationship with his new roommate for weeks, now. His roommate-- who cooks for him, does his laundry, and scolds him for his unhealthy habits. Why does he care so much, anyways?
