    With a fond smile and a quiet hey, Harry got his husband’s attention and beckoned him over, ignoring halfhearted complaints when he lifted Louis to sit on the kitchen counter. Harry cupped Louis’ cheeks, tilting his head down to reach his forehead for a kiss. His hot-but-probably-not-alarmingly-hot forehead, Harry thought. Based on the faint rosiness of Louis’ formerly wan cheeks Harry was sure it had risen some, though the lingering of his lips wasn’t enough to tell by how much.

    “Not tonight, my love. I’m far too busy - I’ve got a poorly husband to tend to."
    louis swore it was only a headache...until it wasn't
