Jiāng Chéng didn't expect to be in this version of his home again; the one crawling with bright eyed ghosts and buildings dated in centuries and not decades, but he's still utterly alone. Jiāng Chéng stepped close to their cell as he removed Zǐdiàn and Sāndú and set them aside. Jiāng Chéng caught Wèi Wúxiàn’s gaze.
Wèi Wúxiàn pressed his hand against the barrier, and Jiāng Chéng placed his against where Wèi Wúxiàn’s rested. Wèi Wúxiàn shook his head again, “Ā-Chéng, don’t do this.”
Jiāng Chéng couldn’t hear him, but he read his lips. “If this works… I’ll make sure you’re happy, Ā-Xiàn.” -
