Reko perches herself against the counter, scanning the store with a bored glance. She hears the doorbell chime, and she cranes her neck to check whoever came in. Reko can only distinguish a redhead (or is it pink? Maybe magenta? Fuck knows, honestly) wandering around the bookshelves, clutching what seems to be a hand-dyed bag with more pins than Reko can count from here. She can distinguish splatters of paint in her pants, and it doesn’t take her much longer to put two and two together to realize she is probably one of those “artsy girls” that buy mandalas colouring books in bulks.
Or, Reko is bored at her bookstore job and Nao is just trying her best.
