Takes place post-main game on Ring Fit Adventure. So SPOILERS if you haven't gotten to that part yet. This is also my spin on the post-game so it's sort of a novelization, sort of not.

After helping save Dragaux from the Dark Influence, as well as saved the Four Masters and the world, Max has been taking it easy after all that exercising. They still do exercise and are training under Dragaux and the Four Masters now, but they thought it would be nice to see what the worlds are like without the courses right now.Max has realized that over time, though, his crush on Abdonis has developed more but they've never told him.
Perhaps this might be the right time to tell the Abs Master.

It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.
