Summary
His touch on the nape of her neck is feather-light, calloused fingertips grazing sensitive skin. She shivers at the intimacy of the touch, of their proximity. His hands are a metal sort of cold, jarring. Harumi almost closes her eyes to lean into the touch before she remembers the mirror before her would give her away. Ashamed that Lloyd almost sees her for what she truly wants, Harumi straightens her back, flushed. Lloyd makes tentative eye contact with her through the glass. She looks away.
“You don’t have to be embarrassed,” he tells her, earnest. “It’s just me.”
And that’s the problem – isn’t it? It’s always just Lloyd.
OR, lloyd cuts harumi's hair.

“It’s always true.” He’s used to Harumi’s brazen, bold statements at this point, enough so that he has the ability to keep his composure and not gape at her in shock. It still gets him every time albeit the truth of the matter. Harumi misses him. Harumi thinks about him.
She takes another puff, longer and more drawn out.
Lloyd furrows his brows. “That’s not good for you.” When she doesn’t answer, he asks, “How long have you been smoking? How many times a day?”
OR, harumi smokes, and she wants to try a couple new things with lloyd.
