Clay took a step closer, the boy did as well. He cupped his cheeks, skin against skin.
And just like that, the world stopped.
It was like an explosion, a big bang of emotions. It was everything he didn't know lacked, everything he didn't know needed, but had always been craving. And as the world faded around him, he could see it clearer than ever.
It was him. Its always been him. Because who else could have been?
In retrospect, it was inevitable. He couldn't see it before, but now it was clear as day. This was always the outcome for them. It was always how they would end up.
They were soulmates.
“It’s you” he whispered, thumbs gently caressing the pale skin under them.
“Makes sense.” It did. It made so much sense. Nothing in his life has ever made more sense. “Soulmates can be platonic.” George shrugged.

“Thank you for coming,” cold fingers squeezed Sapnap’s hand tighter, “I- I really needed this.”
Sapnap smiled at him, watching George’s eyes flicker from Sapnap’s face to the tinted window to his left. Sapnap doesn't know what came over him, but he wanted to kiss him. Just simply press his lips to George’s jaw and then trail his lips to the other’s slowly and hotly. He remembers Dream’s words when he dropped Sap off at the airport.
“Tell me what his lips taste like,” Dream winked at him as Sapnap closed the car door and slumped into the airport, tired out of his mind but blushing pink as he reached security.
He wondered if he should tell George that, or maybe it should stay between the two. Would Sapnap get to taste him this trip?

Dream sighs deeply and then emits a chuckle, taking in George’s body, which lay limp and bound on the floor. Maybe if he was a better person, he’d cut the ropes binding his body. He’d be the bigger man and ask if he’s okay. He’d soothe the humiliation of failing a solo mission and be a good partner. He’d be mature. He’d be professional.
But, alas, he’s neither of those things. So instead, he smirks like an asshole and watches as George’s body twitches helplessly on the ground as if trying to wriggle out.
“Well, well, well,” Dream says with a beat. “All tied up, are we?”
Or, Dream and George are the best cyber-detectives in their precinct with a strong hatred for each other– and even stronger sexual tension.
