If you had told Carlos to write a list of ways he could run into his daughter’s other father, responding to a motor vehicle crash in Austin, TX would be at the bottom of the list, if it even made it on the list.
Once the firefighters had freed the woman trapped in her car, Carlos had turned just right and caught sight of a face that was startlingly familiar.
Carlos’ heart stopped for at least a second when he caught sight of familiar green eyes. “Ty?”
#Carlos and TK met for the first time at a bar in New York City after a ceremony from the NYPD honoring Carlos’ captain with a lifetime achievement award. They connected quickly but both knew that the relationship would only last until the sun came up.
Four years later, Carlos runs into TK on a call in Austin and has to figure out how to tell the handsome firefighter he met once in a badge and ladder bar that their night together left more than just a lasting impression.

Summary
“Ugh.” TK recoils and pulls a face when he sees Carlos heading toward the restaurant on the other side of the street. “Did they have to make him look so good?”
The black suit fits so well and looks so perfect it must be designer. Possessiveness rages in his chest at Carlos looking that good for someone else. His hair is blown out, making his curls smooth and controlled. There’s a weighty looking silver watch on his wrist that TK hasn’t seen before. He sucks his teeth when he sees Carlos is without a tie and has the first few buttons undone on his crisp white shirt, allowing a suggestive triangle of bronze skin to peak out. It’s basically the same as walking around in nothing but underwear and he fights the urge to go cover him up with a towel. It’s not fair.
“Dude, the FBI is not gonna be happy if you fly out of this rig and jump him before the sting even starts.”

Carlos is asked to help the FBI in a sting operation where he has to flirt with another man. His husband has something to say about it.
