Summary
Yes, Ava likes girls (and boys). Yes, she has no trouble acknowledging when a girl is pretty, or hot, or both. Yes, horny is one of her few default mindsets. But to be fair, she’s twenty-two and very new at this. Girls, boys, romance, sex. Life. So what if she chose her personal trainer because she let out a loud “hot damn!” when she saw her picture online, along with all the martial arts she has mastered? What if she let instinct choose rather than reason? Who hasn’t? So, yeah. Let her have this, okay? Plus, she’s just looking. Discreetly. She thinks. And Beatrice does seem like she’s a great trainer, considering all the reviews Ava read about her.

Summary
Beatrice is contemplative. Silent. She studies Ava’s face like she’s memorizing flashcards.
Ava knows she’s inclined towards wishful thinking, so she doesn’t entertain the idea that Beatrice came in just to do this. Just to catch a glimpse.
Ava swallows. “Did you want another recommendation?”

Or,
It's 1986. Ava works at a video rental store, Beatrice is a regular, and Ava has a desperate crush.

Summary
To Ava, nothing had ever been so confusing, so gorgeous, so heartbreaking as the discovery of her own body. And then there was her discovery of Beatrice’s.
Or,
Ava accidentally sees Beatrice naked. It makes the whole "sharing a one bedroom apartment in Switzerland" thing a little more complicated than it was before. A comedy of errors in three acts.
