“Was it alright?” he asked, searching her eyes for doubt or discomfort. His question brought her back to consciousness.
“It was perfect,” she whispered, still a bit dazed. She peered into Colin’s eyes with a hint of shyness. “Can we do it again?”
He met her comment with a cheeky grin. “Give me five minutes. Maybe ten.”
She laughed at this, causing him to laugh as well. The gravity of the previous event had lifted. They were of one mind, of one heart. It was all overwhelming, and yet, it felt right. Familiar. They met in the middle with a kiss, punctuating their ultimate act of love.
Colin Bridgerton truly loved her. She knew that now. And she wanted nothing more than to make him feel the way he made her feel.
Embarrassingly, she had no words for it, nor did she have an idea of where to start.
