Jayce nods. “What about... a tattoo?” he offers sheepishly. Caitlyn raises a brow. “A tattoo? She’d cause a riot in the afterlife if I had a permanent drawing sketched on my skin.”
Jayce just shrugs, leaning against the trunk of the tree. “Exactly; it’s permanent. It gets to be part of you forever, and you get to think of her whenever you see it.”

“Really? Great! I’ll book an appointment right now. I know a good place. What are you getting?” he asks enthusiastically.
“Violets.”
In which,
Caitlyn Kiramman is mourning the loss of her mother, and she decides to get a tattoo to remember her mother. While Jayce drags her to a tattoo shop, she sets her eyes on her very attractive tattoo artist; Violet Lanes.
Where violets aren’t the only thing blooming; so does their feelings.

Summary
This is a post episode 8 look at Cait and Vi and how they navigate their relationships while also healing from all the trauma in their lives. It also acts as a study into the Kiramman Family dynamics, how Cait moves past her time with Ambessa, and how Vi handled life during her Pit Fighter phase.
Flashbacks with Maddie, Ambessa and others serve as missing scenes to give a look into the thought process and reasoning behind much of what we saw in the show.
This is part 1 of a show continuation i was asked to write. It's pre-written and I will be post approx. 3 chapters per day most days :)FYI the full title used to be Lovers, Hunters: The Clouds are Hanging Low.
NOTE: Not all flashbacks are in order, but you should be able to figure the timeline out.

“Vi?” She asked softly.The person in front of her froze before she could overthink her decision. The answer did not come immediately, but Cait noticed how the girl’s breathing in front of her quickened.
“If I turn around you won't disappear this time?” Vi's voice was quiet and broken, and the phrase she said made no sense to Caitlyn, but she decided to answer it anyway.
“No, I won't.”

Silco immediately escapes to take Jinx away, leaving Caitlyn to deal with watching Vi fade away.
